After having children it got me thinking about how I was raised. Did my Mum and Dad ever go with out so they could provide for us? Did they ever worry that they weren’t good enough? Did they ever struggle to feed us? I have done all these things since I became a mum.
My mum raised 4 children and at times worked 3 jobs so she must have done these things too, surely? I don’t ever remember her struggle, I don’t remember my mum and dad splitting up. I just have happy memories of playing on the moors with my sisters and cousins, having the an occasional trip to Butlins, playing with my friends at nursery and school.

Recently I have noticed a rise in aloe vera juices in the shops, quite reasonably priced and something I have never tried before. So I accepted the offer to review some.
I received two bottles, aloe refresh mango and aloe refresh original flavour. They both contain natural flavours and natural colours so they can be enjoyed as a part of a healthy lifestyle.

At the end of the week I am always left with a few leftovers from lunches and dinners. This week I managed to picked up some baking potatoes that had been reduced to 5p, so I thought it would make a fun meal to combine them with the leftovers and a few extras. Both my kids loved being able to pick their own toppings and it was great not having waste any food!

I don’t know about everyone else, but I don’t have much time to make my lunch come lunch time. My husband comes home for his lunch so I have to make lunch for him and two toddlers so it is hard to make something quick but still delicious. We often have sandwiches and thanks to The English Provender Co, we got to try a few different pickles in them last week! It was hard trying to decide on our favourite but this one got the thumbs up from all the family.

If the chicken stew gets a thumbs up, I will publish the recipe!
These are great to have with so many different things. We have them to go with curry, for tuna melts, cut up and used for dipping in soups and sauces, and I even put them in packed lunches. The possibilities are endless!
