Simple Biscuits

These cookies were made by my 3 year daughter. They only require 3 ingredients so as you would imagine, they are very cheap and easy to make. We put jam inbetween two of ours but you could cut them out in any shape, ice them or even add chocolate chips!

50 g sugar

170g plain flour

100g cold butter, cubed

  1. Preheat oven to 180C and lightly grease a baking tray.
  2. Sieve The flour and sugar into a bowl and rub the butter into the mix with your hands until it turns into bread crumbs.
  3. Add 1-2 tbsp of water to bring the mix into a dough like ball. Roll out on a lightly floured side, until 2-3 mm in thickness. Cut out with your cutters or if you dont have any, us a glass or mug to cut around.
  4. Place in the open and cook for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Leave to cool before decorating.

  1. Yummy biscuits, make them with the grandchildren, for a change replace some of the water with lemon juice and grated rind and sandwich with lemon curd

  2. That sounds like my kind of baking, lol. Well done and thank you for sharing…will have to give these a try! #bigpinklink
