Slimming World Chocolate Cake

More or less everyone I know is attending Slimming World (apart from myself!), so I thought I would try some recipes and I have been impressed. Recently I attempted to make a Slimming World cake and I found it too bitter so I developed this one which I much prefer. I worked it out as 1 syn per slice but please correct me if I’m wrong!

Serves 8         Costs 38p per slice

100g sugar substitute

50g cocoa power

6 eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 c. Seperate the egg whites and yolks. Mix the egg whites untill they form peaks.
  2. Mix the sugar substitute, cocoa powder, egg yolks and vanilla extract in a large bowl. Carefully fold in the eggs whites until well combined.
  3. Pour the mix into a greased cake tin and cook for 25 minutes.

  1. I attempted Slimming World but i miss fatty foods far to much, but this is something to make that isn’t as fattening and only 1 syn which is a bonus. I try to make healthish food now but dont stick to it religiously #bigpinklink

  2. Oooooh! That looks good. I’m toying with jumping on the slimming world bandwagon myself, great to know there is a cake option if I do it!!! Thanks for linking up with the leap day special #bigpinklink

    1. can I stick with normal sugar, personally don’t use anything artificial, just would like to cut down (possible health problems with diabetes when using artificial sweeteners)

  3. I love that you adapted this, it looks delicious! and only 1 syn!! I never did slimming world but it sounds like a good process! thanks for linking up to #YumTum 🙂
