My favourite thing about Autumn is comfort food. Having the house warm and full of the smell of stew, makes the dark evenings a little less worse! I usually make it during the day and let it simmer on a really low heat so it is ready to serve come dinner time.

Mozzarella and Tomato Gnocchi

This is a cheap and simple vegetarian meal, enjoyed by all the family. I have made the gnocchi from scratch before but it is just as budget friendly and tasty with shop brought, it’s less time consuming and not as messy too!

Shh! Secret Vegtable Tomato Sauce 

I’m constantly worrying that I don’t eat enough vegetables or that my children don’t eat enough of them either. My toddler is going through a fussy phase! Here are some of her excuses for not wanting to eat certain vegetables:

  1. It stinks
  2. It’s sticky
  3. It’s for babies
  4. It’s green/red/yellow
  5. It’s wet/dry
  6. It’s hot/cold

….You get the idea!
